Chloé, order manager at Logisseo

The order manager plays a crucial role in the order process from the moment orders are ready to be processed. His or her mission encompasses a wide range of responsibilities to ensure efficient customer service. He or she is responsible for ensuring that orders are processed correctly, while maintaining fluid communication with customers and ensuring clear follow-up.

The tasks of the order manager

The order manager must be able to detect and correct any errors in orders that have not been automatically detected by our WMS, whether due to typing errors or address errors for example, in order to ensure that orders reach their recipients within the contractual deadlines.

It is the first point of contact for reference pickers when they find themselves stuck in one of the preparation stages: he's there to provide them with a rapid solution, or to take charge of the order in question himself, if necessary.

The order manager is responsible for managing the chartering of non-standard parcels or those destined for export. By establishing quotations, they decide on the most appropriate carrier. To do this, he or she collects shipping rates from the relevant carriers, evaluating various criteria such as destination, weight and parcel size, in order to offer each customer a customized shipping solution that meets their specific needs.

Pallets filmed and placed on a shelf

The order manager is also responsible for monitoring the smooth running of collections outside the daily courier service (collection of parcels or pallets by the customer himself or by his carrier), ensuring that data is correctly recorded and processed. He/she must be able to prioritize the operations to be carried out in order to meet deadlines andefficiently fulfill customer requests.
